- B.R.
AMBEDKAR
INTRODUCATION:-
The
annihilation of caste was written by Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (1891-1956)
popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar. He was a scholar, devoted leader,
committed writer, educationist, social rebel, powerful debator, administrator,
Liberal emancipatior, authoritative constitutionalist, master statesman,
darling liberator of the down trodden masses and fearless fighter. He was born
into a dalit family, he faced social and economic discrimination. But due to a
scholarship given by Maharaja of Baroda, he was able to study abroad. He was posthumously
awarded the Bharat Ratna
EXPLANATION:
Hindu
society seems to Ambedkar is standing for a moral revival. Now the question is
who can resolve this. Obviously, those who have undergone an intellectual
regeneration and who has courage of their convictions born to intellectual emancipation
Ambedkar argued that hindu leaders are quite unfit for the task. These leaders
will nevertheless unblushingly appeal to ideals of the past, they still have a
mystic respect for the earlier forms which make them disinclined.
The Mahatma
is no exception though he appears not to
believe in annihilation of caste, prefers to follow the saints for the moral
regeneration for every act of independent thinking, he put same portion in an
apparently stable world in peril. According to Dr. Ambedkar the most
influential apologist of Hindu archaic social structure and the worst enemy of
the Hindus.
Unlike the
mahatma Hindu leaders, Brahmins and priest everyone were unable either dishonest
or an indifferent to give proper guidance to the mass of the people. They engaged
in such activities which are prohibited by their shastras. This was done for
class and position prestige. It was a most disgraceful phenomenon that
intellectual class have been pursued. They are indifference to educate dalits
in the light direction. Dalits are witness of a great tragedy.
CONCLUSION:-
The lesson “Annihiliation
of caste” written by B.R.Ambedkar depicts the discrimination of high class
people in the name of the caste. He expressed his grief towards scheduled
classes and backward sections of people. He also appeal to Hindu society (Brahmins)
should undergone intellectual survival to work for their upliftment and
empowerment in the society.
