The story is the touching one which explores the emotions of a young child trying to cope with the death of his mother. As he lost his father his attachment with his mother grew strong. Their house Is located in a serence atmosphere surrounded by greenery and hills. The chirping of birds and insects fills the air. A row of trees run along the gravel way. They crunch along the gravel towards the stone entry. The setting of the story draws over attention towards natural beauty as the place abounds in various natural scenery.

When he was returning from school on Saturday he was anticipating the fun and enjoyment with his mother having forgotten the death of his mother completely. He walked along with his friends. He imagined about the lemon-pie. His mother would prepare on Saturday. He wanted to tell the story he had water the plants. His mind was filled with the kind of activities. So deeply that he also forgot about the house. Where he stayed with his mother.

The boy’s joy suddenly disappeared when he reached home. He was reminded the death of his mother. He slowed down his walking and came to a dead stop. Everything was quiet and strange. He realized that he was not living there anymore but up the hill at his aunt’s house. He stood still and started shedding tears.
