HARDWORK AND HONESTY OR GOOD BRICKS

C. Rajagopalachari



INTRODUCTION:
                                              
 
                                                Hardwork and Honesty or good bricks was written by chakravarthi Rajagopalachari (1878 to 1972) fondly called Rajaji or C.R.  He was an Indian lawyer, a freedom fighter, writer, statesman and leader of the Indian National Congress. He was the founder of the swatantra Party and the first recipient of India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.



EXPLANATION:


                                      Character is not merely a thoughtless imitated ideal. It is the wisest national policy that can be viewed by any statesman. It should be formed by the best type when we have character, things will work out well. In the national structure with which we are dealing, deception has no place. Unless we are strenuous in our conduct and honest in our minds we shall not be able to make a glorious India. We should strive hard if we want to make India. We should strive hard if we want to make India not only free but also splendid. This was the hope of those who fought for freedom. If we have character, freedom will produce happiness for us. Otherwise, it will Smear our country’s prestige.



                                                Rajaji further said that it is easy to be straight forward and to bear the troubles that arise out of it. To overcome them, we may fail but our failure supplement to our glory. India is a vast country with rich source of literature and culture. We are not a new state with new tradition. Our country’s literature and culture are very precious. No matter of fact can deviate us from the path of rectitude. We should work hard and build India quickly.



CONCLUSION:


                                             

                          In the lesson “Hard work and Honesty or Good Bricks” Rajaji requests the Indian’s to strive hard for the development of the country and the character of the citizen. While developing there things, he stress out keep up the tradition and culture of the country which is very ancient and great. Finally, he said every citizen should work hard for the glory of the country.
